摘要: The overall purpose of this evaluation study was to determine the effectiveness providing 5thand 6th grade students in Walled Lake Consolidated Schools (WLCS) with access laptopcomputers regard classroom learning activities, technology usage, and writing achievement.The WLCS Laptop Program is based on Anytime Anywhere Learning (AAL) program (AAL,2000), which has been schools since 1996 impacted more than 100,000 andteachers. goal AAL provide knowledge, skills tools tolearn anytime anywhere.The arranged have laptop computers available for a monthly lease fee fiftydollars. classrooms were equipped wireless Internet printers.The also provided parents opportunity receive training basiccomputer skills. teachers received ten full days professional development prior tothe 1999-2000 academic year six one-half day sessions during year. basedon NTeQ model (Morrison, Lowther, & DeMuelle, 1999) provides aframework develop problem-based lessons that utilize real-world resources, studentcollaboration, use computer reach solutions. are typically structuredaround projects, engage critically examining community global issues,while strengthening student research
