摘要: article i nfo Organophosphate Pesticides Pregnancy Children The paraoxonase 1 (PON1) enzyme prevents low-density lipoprotein oxidation and also detoxifies the oxon derivatives of certain neurotoxic organophosphate (OP) pesticides. PON1 activity in infants is low compared to adults, rendering them with lower metabolic antioxidant capacities. We made a longitudinal comparison role genetic variability on control phenotypes Mexican-American mothers their children at time delivery (n=388 338, respectively) again 7 years later (n=280 281, using generalized estimating equations models. At age 7, children's mean activities were still than those mothers. This difference was larger genotypes associated (PON1−108TT, PON1192QQ, PON1−909CC). In mothers, elevated during pregnancy when they not pregnant (pb0.001). non- polymorphisms haplotypes accounted for almost 2-fold more variation arylesterase (AREase) chlorpyrifos-oxonase (CPOase) delivery. both children, five (192, 55, −108, −909, −162) explained noticeably proportion variance (62-78%) AREase (12.3-26.6%). Genetic enzymatic varies adults affected by status. addition known polymorphisms, unidentified environmental, genetic, or epigenetic factors may influence expression therefore susceptibility OPs oxidative stress.
