Isolated venlafaxine-induced serotonin syndrome

摘要: Serotonin syndrome is a potentially fatal complication of serotonergic drug therapy. Usually, serotonin occurs with the concomitant use two drugs; this case report describes patient classic presentation induced solely by venlafaxine overdose. Emergency physicians need to be aware that may occur not only combinations but also overdoses single potent agent such as venlafaxine.
