摘要: Summary Background Sinonasal cancers are rare and no high-level evidence exists to determine their optimal management. Prophylactic neck treatment issue remains controversial. The aim of this study was analyze the pattern failure identify any prognostic factors that may influence control. Methods A retrospective review 155 consecutive patients treated for sinonasal malignancy, without prophylactic treatment, between 1995 2005 at tertiary cancer center performed. Demographic, clinical, morphological pathological parameters were correlated with oncologic outcomes. Results Eight out (5%) presented initially node metastasis. Complete remission obtained 133 after completion. During follow up, 16 (12%) affected regional recurrence. Neck occurred in 8 51 local 82 locally controlled. Isolated nodal observed 5 cN0 (3.8%) representing 7.3% all recurrences 3 them underwent successful salvage therapy. None tested significantly associated control (p > 0.05). Lymph diagnosis time independently poor survival (p = 0.0012). Conclusion relapse, when is achieved, effective. Routine has little interest. However, approach could be profitable few selected patients, who remain defined. Further investigations needed.
