摘要: Propolis is a complex bioactive mixture produced by bees, known to have different biological activities, especially in countries where there rich biodiversity of plant species. The objective this study was determine the chemical composition and evaluate antioxidant cytotoxic properties Brazilian propolis from species Plebeia droryana Apis mellifera found Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. In ethanolic extracts P. (ExEP-P) A. (ExEP-A) acids, phenolic compounds, terpenes tocopherol were identified as major compounds. Both presented activity against 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free radical, maximum activities being 500 μg/mL 300 (ExEP-A). However, only ExEP-A able inhibit lipid peroxidation induced oxidizing agent 2,2'-azobis(2-amidinopropane) dihydrochloride (AAPH), which inhibited oxidative hemolysis reduced levels malondialdehyde (MDA) human erythrocytes for 4 h incubation. also cell viability K562 erythroleukemia tumour line, with predominance necrotic death. Thus, it concluded that contain important compounds capable minimizing action substances organism reducing cells.
