摘要: The SOS response that responds to DNA damage induces many genes are under LexA repression. A detailed examination of regulons using genome-wide techniques has recently been undertaken in both Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis. These extensive elegant studies have now charted the extent regulons, uncovered new genes, exposed a limited overlap regulon between two bacteria. As more bacterial genomes analysed, curiosities arise. Several notable examples include discovery LexA-like protein, HdiR, Lactococcus lactis, organisms with lexA small damage-inducible cassettes control. In cyanobacterium Synechocystis, genetic microarray demonstrated paralogue exerts control over an entirely different set carbon-controlled is crucial cells facing carbon starvation. An induction evoked by common therapeutic drugs shed light on unsuspected consequences drug exposure. Certain antibiotics, most notably fluoroquinolones such as ciprofloxacin, can induce modulate spread virulence factors resistance. beta-lactams E. triggers novel form antibiotic defence involves cell wall stress signal transduction DpiAB two-component system. this review, we provide overview these directions research emphasis few themes: identification control, endogenous triggers, antibiotic-induced its consequences.
