摘要: OBJECTIVE To demonstrate the results of treatment poorly controlled deafferentation facial pain using motor cortex stimulation and to review relevant literature. MATERIAL AND METHODS The study included 8 patients (3 males 5 females) with who were implanted a system constant at Illinois University in Chicago 2004-2016 Novosibirsk Federal Center Neurosurgery 2017. patients' age ranged from 37 81 years (mean age, 57.5 years). Scale-based assessment severity was performed admission hospital, discharge, during follow-up. visual analogue scale, Barrow Neurological Institute scale (BNIPS), McLaughlin used. RESULTS Immediately after surgery, significant improvement form reduction by 80-100% occurred 4 patients. intensity discharge hospital decreased 55%, on average. During follow-up period, efficacy assessed (McLaughlin scale) as very good 3 patients, unsatisfactory 1 patient. CONCLUSION Our findings recent studies have demonstrated that is one options for pain. Even slight decrease excruciating debilitating (assessed effect) gives grounds application procedure. Further research needed define more precise criteria selecting this increase stimulation.
