摘要: Spinal epidural abscess (SEA) remains a relatively infrequent diagnosis. Staphylococcus aureus is the most common organism identified, and infectious source in SEA emanates from skin soft tissue infections about 20 % of instances. The thoracic spine often involved followed by lumbar spine. classic triad fever, spinal pain, neurological deficit present but minority patients. appearance deficits with has significant impact on prognosis; therefore, early diagnosis imperative. Magnetic resonance imaging permitted earlier diagnosis, although delays are due to nonspecific symptoms that frequently attend disorder. Due rarity this condition, there have been few randomized controlled trials evaluate new treatment strategies, recommendations regarding based case series studies derived experiences at single center.
