Encapsulation of an Olefin Metathesis Catalyst in the Nanocages of SBA-1: Facile Preparation, High Encapsulation Efficiency, and High Activity

摘要: By postreducing the window size through silylation, 2nd generation Hoveyda–Grubbs catalyst was encapsulated in nanocages of a mesoporous material SBA-1. The encapsulation efficiency SBA-1 up to 70 %, much higher than that other materials such as SBA-16, FDU-12, and MCM-41 (0–43 %). successful confirmed by N2 sorption analysis FTIR diffusion reflectance UV/Vis spectroscopy. Such SBA-1-encapsulated showed good activity both olefin ring-closing metathesis cross metathesis. A wide range olefins could be transformed desired products with conversions 27–100 %. more sensitive temperature effects homogeneous counterpart, reflecting unique properties catalyst. At reaction temperatures 40–60 °C, sufficiently comparable for styrene-type substrates, probably because confinement nanocages. solid recycled seven times. This study not only supplies new but also demonstrates our improvement immobilizing metal complex toward green effective level.
