A nonlinear phase frequency detector with zero blind zone for fast-locking phase-locked loops

摘要: This work proposes a new phase frequency detector, which completely eliminates the “blind zone” by avoiding generating reset signal when input error is out of range [-π, π]. The proposed detector possesses beneficial nonlinear transfer characteristic and can speed up lock acquisition phase-locked loop effectively.
