摘要: A large amount of data for inconspicuous taxa is stored in natural history collections; however, this information often neglected biodiversity patterns studies. Here, we evaluate the performance direct interpolation museum collections data, equivalent to traditional approach used bryophyte conservation planning, and stacked species distribution models (S-SDMs) produce reliable reconstructions richness patterns, given that differences between these methods have been insufficiently evaluated taxa. Our objective was contrast if better inferences diversity than simply selecting areas with higher numbers. As model species, selected Iberian genus Grimmia (Bryophyta), four well-collected compare validate following models: 1) Maxent models, each generated without from one areas, a reference created using all 2) obtained through spatial interpolation, area, data. The correlations partial were cases (0.45 0.99), whereas negative weak (-0.3 -0.06). results demonstrate first time S-SDMs offer useful tool identifying detailed such as bryophytes improving incomplete distributions by assessing potential under-surveyed filling major gaps available In addition, proposed strategy would enhance value vast number specimens housed biological collections.
