摘要: Abstract A probabilistic fracture mechanics theory is proposed for fatigue life prediction in which a mixed-mode crack growth model combined with extreme value methods. The Sih–Barthelemy criterion based on strain energy intensity factor under uniaxial loading has been slightly modified and extended to multiaxial including biaxial torsion. probability density function computed the number of cycles failure, scaling relations are also computed. Crack number, length, orientation at onset treated as random varixsables whose distributions known. Numerical results presented demonstrate dependence plate size, variance length distribution, factors, parameters model.
