摘要: Recent work by the authors on development of a second-order closure model for high-speed compressible flows is reviewed. This turbulence based solution modeled transport equations Favre-averaged Reynolds stress tensor and solenoidal part turbulent dissipation rate. A new used along with traditional gradient models heat flux mass terms. Consistent simple asymptotic analyses, deviatoric remaining higher-order correlations in equation are variable density extension newest incompressible models. The resulting tested variety which include decay isotropic turbulence, homogeneous shear flow, supersonic mixing layer, flat-plate boundary layer. Comparisons between predictions results physical numerical experiments quite encouraging.
