摘要: Consumers often engage in unsafe food handling behaviors at home. Previous studies have investigated the ability of behavior-change theories to explain and predict these behaviors. The purpose this review was determine which are most consistently associated with consumers' safe across published literature. A standardized systematic methodology used, consisting following steps: comprehensive search strategy; relevance screening identified references; confirmation characterization relevant articles; risk-of-bias assessment; data extraction; descriptive analysis study results. total 20 were identified; they mostly conducted Australia (40%) United States (35%) used a cross-sectional design (65%). Most targeted young adults (65%), none focused on high-risk consumer groups. outcomes 70% received high overall ratings, largely due lack control for confounding variables. commonly applied theory Theory Planned Behavior (45% studies), which, along other behavior change, frequently behavioral intentions However, overall, there wide variation specific constructs found be significantly percentage variance explained each outcome studies. results suggest that multiple change can help could adopted guide development future interventions. In contexts, should appropriately selected adapted meet needs target population context interest.
