摘要: Isolated ionospheric irregularities produce oscillating (ringing) diffraction patterns on the ground. Typical physical properties such as density, size, etc. of these have been estimated using characteristics patterns. These agree well with those meteor trail ionisation. In addition it has found that most ringing occur shower days. Further, investigations diurnal and seasonal showers suggest are likely cause irregularities. Hence is hypothesised caused by showers. It to be noted current observations isolated near equator (around 9oN latitude) they fill an observational gap in which existed at equatorial latitudes. observed there no marked difference variation over globe whereas exists a strong latitudinal
