摘要: The subject of optimum cerebral protection during cardiopulmonary bypass is far from resolved [1]. However, in recent years important strides have been made understanding which devices and techniques protect best. Air, or gas embolism (massive micro) the extracorporeal circuit has implicated neurologic dysfunction patients following (CPB). Prevention air focus surgeons perfusionists since advent open-heart surgery 1950s. dangers consequences embolism, however, reported literature many centuries prior to surgery. manifestations may be subtle gross, transient permanent, depending on several factors including volume type gas, rate infusion, methods treatment used when recognized. Technique considerations for minimizing gaseous microemboli include choice components their operation. Use arterial filters membrane oxygenators suggested decreasing microemboli. In cases safety CPB limit extent patient injury.
