摘要: The study aimed at evaluating nutrients apparent digestibility in veal calves fed 3 feeding plans based on milk-replacer plus large amounts of solid feeds differing their composition during the first 80 days fattening. Twelve Polish Friesian male (70.6±1.9 kg) were randomly assigned to one following treatments: i) corn grain (CG); ii) 80:20 mixture (as basis) and wheat straw (CGS); iii) 72:20:8 grain, extruded soybean (CGSES). Calves received same but daily amount was restricted (96%) for CGSES balance dietary protein. Total dry matter intake from similar among treatments, showed better growth performance than CG ones. introduced into a metabolism stall (1/pen) week 9 fattening 3- day adaptation period 4-day trial. greatest DM, NFC, ash while lowest CP digestibility. Haemoglobin concentrations measured 5, 31 treatments significantly decreased over time. In treatment, combination milkreplacer with feed closer complete diet ruminants led calves’ performance. However, reduced protein indicates that quality becomes key factor when formulating diets using alternatives dairy sources.
