摘要: The present study was conducted in Kohistan region, where mafic and ultramafic rocks (Kohistan island arc Indus suture zone) metasedimentary (Indian plate) are exposed. Water samples were collected from the springs, streams river analyzed for physical parameters, anions, cations arsenic (As3+, As5+ total). water quality region evaluated by comparing physio-chemical parameters with permissible limits set Pakistan environmental protection agency world health organization. Most of studied found within their respective limits. However some samples, iron concentrations exceeded For risk assessment arsenic, average daily dose, hazards quotient (HQ) cancer calculated using statistical formulas. values HQ >1 Jabba, Dubair, while <1 rest samples. This level contamination should have low chronic medium when compared US EPA guidelines. Furthermore, inter-dependence pollution load also multivariate techniques like one-way ANOVA, correlation analysis, regression cluster analysis principle component analysis.
