摘要: Infusion of prostaglandins E2 and F2α (PGE2 PGF2α) in man causes diarrhea1,2. This effect is due to alterations both intestinal motility absorption water electrolytes. By virtue their direct effects on smooth muscle cells, PGE2 PGF2α contract the longitudinal muscle, but, addition, also contracts circular layer3,4,5. The increased manifested by abdominal cramps6 shortened transit time7. In PGE compounds have been shown enhance secretion rather than electrolytes8–11, an which appears be mediated cyclic nucleotides12,13. secretory phenomenon contributes significantly prostaglandin-induced watery diarrhea. Because substantial diarrheogenic properties, we investigated role PGF a number syndromes. Despite early observations that levels bioassayable were elevated endocrine tumors plasma patients harboring these tumors14,15, consistently found better correlation between diarrhea circulating PGE.
