摘要: A Gram-positive, non-pigmented, rod-shaped, diazotrophic bacterial strain, designated SC-N012T, was isolated from rhizosphere soil of sugarcane and subjected to a polyphasic taxonomic study. The strain exhibited phenotypic properties that included chemotaxonomic characteristics consistent with its classification in the genus Bacillus. Sequence analysis 16S rRNA gene SC-N012T revealed closest match (98.9% pair wise similarity) Bacillus clausii DSM 8716T. However, DNA–DNA hybridization experiments indicated low levels genomic relatedness (32%) this strain. major components fatty acid profile are iso-C15:0, anteiso-C15:0, iso-C17:0 anteiso-C17:0. diagnostic cell-wall diamino meso-diaminopimelic acid.
