摘要: Hepatitis E is an emerging disease with a high incidence globally. Few data are available on hepatitis virus (HEV) infection in Indonesia. To obtain molecular information HEV two regions of Indonesia different customs and swine breeding conditions, serum samples from 137 farm workers, 100 blood donors (27 fecal also obtained) Yogyakarta (Central Java) 12 64 42 135 local residents 89 119 Tulungagung (East Mengwi (Bali), respectively, our previous study, were compared.Serological tests for anti‐HEV antibodies by ELISA, HEV‐RNA detection RT‐PCR phylogenetic analysis performed. The total prevalence humans was higher Bali(11.6%) than Java (5.1%; P=0.015). No significant differences among workers found. finding genotype 3 specimens 4 Bali somewhat other reports. We suggest factors addition to close contact might play important role transmission non‐endemic/related custom groups. the best knowledge, this first report
