摘要: Background: To evaluate the prognostic implication of cancer stem cell markers in pancreac ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), expression CD133 and nestin were investigated a series PDAC patients relation to survival rate. Methods: This included 42 cases evaluated detected by immunohistochemistry. The presence immunopositive tumor cells considering intensity area was interpreted comparison patients’ clinicopathological data. Results: Twenty eight (66.7%) showed high expression. mainly identified apical border cell, but aberrant cytoplasmic or perinuclear location also noted. High found only 2 cases, along perinuerial stromal region 15 (35.7%). There no correlation between CD133, gemcitabine resistance. Statistically significant difference patient N stage (p=0.007), (p= 0.014) univariate analysis. Nestin wan not statistically significant, it helpful identify perineurial invasion. In Cox-regression hazard model stratified age sex for multivariable analysis, AJCC independent factors overall survival. Conclusions: is upregulated that related poor prognosis, treatment targeted positive cancer/cancer might be promising therapeutic strategy this patients.
