摘要: Abstract Results from the World Ocean Circulation Experiment Community Modeling Effort are compared with observations to study effects of convective parameterization in Labrador Sea. The results show that model boundary conditions have a strong influence on relative intensity convection northern part Sea, producing an anomalous cross current at about 60° N. Cross sections coast and south Greenland overall agreement, but considerablydifferent some areas. In particular, cold, North Atlantic Bottom Water is not modeled correctly exhibits overly warm, salty surface water CapeFarewell. Convection general too widespread does extend theproper depth.
