摘要: In three monkeys, the right eye was moved from primary position to a of 30 degrees 45 exotropia by suturing globe orbital wall. two animals perfused immediately following suturing, histological examination showed medial rectus and its sarcomeres be lengthened lateral shortened as compared those unoperated control eye. third monkey, after maintained for 2 months, muscle lengths changed but sarcomere were similar We interpret this indicate addition removal rectus. This adaptation conform length may explain altered which persists periods deviation due paralysis, prior surgery, injury, or botulinum toxin treatment.
