摘要: Nonadherence to medical regimens is a major problem in health care. Distinguishing between intentional nonadherence (missing/altering doses suit one's needs) and unintentional (forgetting take medication) may help understanding nonadherence. Participants with respiratory conditions completed an anonymous questionnaire about (i) nonadherence; (ii) reasons for against taking medications; (iii) perceived style of the consultation which their medication was first prescribed, as well demographic clinical variables. Consistent hypotheses, predicted by balance individuals' suggested Utility Theory, where these include only those individual considers relevant on he/she focuses. Unintentional less strongly associated decision balance, more so demographics. The research highlights importance (a) treating separate entities (b) assessing idiosyncratic beliefs when considering
