摘要: Objective To understand the impact of having a single ovary on basal follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) level and its diagnostic prognostic usefulness in vitro fertilization (IVF). Design All IVF cases from July 1987 to June 1990 with known FSH (n=1,272) were divided into those one two ovaries compare outcomes based levels. Setting Tertiary care academic center large practice. Main Outcome Measures Basal FSH, age, including peak estradiol, numbers follicles aspirated, oocytes retrieved, fertilized, transferred, pregnancies (clinical ongoing). Results In women only ovary, was increased, poorer. The rise able, part, account for diminished performance cases. Conclusions Women have higher levels than ovaries, this can be used predict their performance.
