摘要: Summary: Purpose: Recent evidence has been obtained that the major vault protein (MVP) may play a role in multidrug resistance (MDR). We investigated expression and cellular localization of MVP gangliogliomas (GGs), which are increasingly recognized causes chronic pharmacoresistant epilepsy. Methods: Surgical tumor specimens (n = 30), as well peritumoral control brain tissues, were examined for distribution pattern with immunocytochemistry. Western blot analysis showed consistent increase GGs compared cortex. Results: In normal brain, was below detection glial neuronal cells, only low immunoreactivity (IR) levels detected blood vessels. observed component 30 population cells. majority tumors, strong IR found lesional Perilesional regions did not show increased staining vessels or cells cortex. However, hippocampus cases dual pathology. Conclusions: The is another example an MDR-related upregulated patients refractory epilepsy. Further research necessary to investigate whether it could mechanisms underlying drug human
