摘要: A quantitative analysis is presented for evaluating the diurnal thermal impact of proposed building arrangements on urban canopy layer (UCL) air temperature, in summer a hot-humid region. Building configuration along an street quantitatively specified this study by dimensions, spacing units and width street. The generic model described here representative actual form residential buildings found mostly streets Israel's cities. Sixty different configurations were studied. temperature pattern was calculated each using analytical Green CTTC model, compared with that nearby meteorological station at open site. results indicate significant effects UCL due to form. extent maximum about 6.8 K 1500h, namely ranging from 4.7 above value measured reference (for shallow spaces wide spacing), 2.1 below deep narrow spacing). statistical indicates feasibility assessing expected effect designs studied here, through general linear relationship. This, thereby, provides useful tool judging climatic design. Copyright © 2004 Royal Meteorological Society
