摘要: The riffle beetle (Coleoptera) are aquatic organisms of worldwide distribution. Their immature and adult forms occupy a wide range substrates habitats they diverse group. Our study aimed to determine the spatial temporal distribution family Elmidae its relationship with physicochemical parameters in Ocoa River. We established 15 sampling stations reviewed total 210 samples macroinvertebrates collected rock-pebble substrate using Surber nets (250 μm) two contrasting hydrological periods (low high rainfall): October 2014 February 2015. We obtained 37 (larvae adults) from nine genera Elmidae: Heterelmis, Huleechius, Macrelmis, Astrolimnius, Microcylloepus, Neoelmis, Hexacylloepus, Cylloepus, Notelmis Phanocerus, which seven corresponded new records for Colombian Orinoquia region. During low rainfall period, representation was higher, 35 genera, while during there marked decrease richness, only corresponding genera. In general, abundanceof along river; located sector crossing city Villavicencio, more deteriorated habitat, harbored lowest abundance some, no beetles were registered. environmental effects urbanization, such as contamination by organic matter growth coliform bacteria due wastewaterdischarges, main determinants richness these organisms. present is first exploration zone contributes ecological knowledge Coleoptera fauna urban basins Orinoquia. © 2019.
