摘要: Twenty-five years ago, one could purchase magnetic deflection mass spectrometers fitted with metastable suppressors which ensured that the spectrum consisted only of peaks due to ions formed in source reached detector without further decomposition. Over last decade, however, increasing use has been made scans collected are those decompositions occurring field-free regions flight tube. Such proving particularly useful analysis mixtures have received minimum treatment prior their being introduced into spectrometer. Although they may be used study products unimolecular give rise transitions, main is collision-induced occur a collision cell located close slit or intermediate focal point. This article aims summarise principles underlying various currently use, indicating briefly strengths and weaknesses.
