摘要: Renal diets are recommended for dogs with chronic kidney disease (CKD). This study examined the effects of foods added betaine and fiber on plasma fecal metabolome microbiome in early stage CKD. At baseline, several metabolites differed between healthy those Dogs CKD (n = 28) received a control food, low soluble plus food (0.5% betaine, 0.39% oat beta-glucan, 0.27% short-chain fructooligosaccharides (scFOS)), or high 0.59% 0.41% scFOS) each 10 weeks different sequences. Consumption test led to favorable, significant changes metabolome, including decreases uremic toxins other deleterious metabolites, increases favorable compared food. Only 7 significantly changed consumption largely polyphenols lignans. Few were seen microbiome, though some taxa that response have beneficial health, negatively correlating toxins. Overall, showed positive metabolomes.
