摘要: The effect of Chlorella hot water extract (CE) on hyperglycemia in streptozotocin- induced diabetic rats has not been studied. Therefore, hypoglycemic CE type I was Rats were fed a semisynthetic diet supplemented with either 3% (the STZ+CE3) and 6% STZ+CE6) or no supplement the Normal STZ-Control for 4 weeks. concentrations fasting non-fasting blood glucose higher than rats, but this rise lowered STZ+CE3 STZ+CE6 rats. Serum insulin decreased STZ injection, however, levels almost restored to level supplementation. increased serum fructosamine associated treatment. morphology pancreatic islets rat round maintained typical arrangement. beta-cells found have significant swelling severely morphological damaged, tissue damage by CE-supplemented group ameliorated. This study shows that had STZ-diabetic via secretion during recovery prevention STZ-induced damage.
