Guide for Occupational Exploration: A New Approach in Career Planning

摘要: The Guide for Occupational Exploration contains a new approach presenting occupational information use in career exploration. Its contents are nontechnical language and simple style intended any reader with or without counseling help. The data organized into 12 interest areas, 11 of which correspond directly to the factors USES Interest Inventory currently being developed. Each area groups jobs clustered according common interests, capabilities, adaptabilities workers. Jobs within each group subgrouped easy reading. Descriptive materials areas focus on characteristics individuals as they relate required by jobs. It is anticipated that this guide will provide an method relating people potential job requirements, has not been possible previous exploration tools. In addition, it presents student, lay person, others conversant technical means self-exploration opportunities appropriate their potential.
