New materials for hip and knee joint replacement: What's hip and what's in kneed?

摘要: Over the last three decades there have been significant advancements in knee and hip replacement technology that has driven by an issue past concerning adverse local tissue reactions, aseptic septic loosening. The implants materials we utilize improved over two a decrease failures attributed to wear osteolysis. Despite these are still issues with patient satisfaction early revisions due loosening patients. This article reviews state of current implant material surgery, discusses some unmet needs biomaterials, biomaterials may be able solve most common surgery.
