摘要: Background and objective Little is known about late phase clinical reactions during oral food challenges the value of specific IgE in terms sensitivity specificity. Methods We therefore analysed retrospectively outcome 387 provocations double-blind, placebo-controlled challenge tests 107 children with atopic dermatitis. Results Eighty-seven (81%) showed a positive reaction to at least one challenge. The vast majority (94%) symptoms or two allergens. One hundred thirty-one 259 (51%) verum 1/128 (0.8%) placebo were assessed as positive. Oral hen's egg highest percentage (70%). Sensitivity four allergens tested was 90%, specificity 30%. parental history predictive factor 48%, 72%. Ninety-two 131 (70%) early reactions, 33 (25%) six (5%) combined reactions. In 84/131 (64%) organ system involved, while 44 (34%) three (2%) systems involved. Skin most frequent manifestation leading followed by gastro-intestinal respiratory symptoms. There no correlation between titration dose IgE. subgroup non-sensitized did not differ sex, age from total study population. Conclusion Double-blind, are helpful distinguishing clinically manifested those sensitization. Accurately identifying relevant allergy may help prescribe diets on scientific basis, avoiding dietary limitations which be unneccessary even harmful.
