摘要: Crop yield and productivity is influenced by a number of environmental factors. Amongst various metabolic processes that are affected any kind stress, photosynthesis one the most sensitive process. In photosynthesis, Photosystem II (PS II) particularly more susceptible to abiotic stresses like high temperature, salt, water etc. High salt stress i.e., salinity influences activity PS its effects vary with duration cultivar used. Chlorophyll fluorescence induction kinetics has emerged as very quick, non-invasive tool detect responses in early developmental stages. exhibits functional structural heterogeneity which been classified into antenna reducing side heterogeneity. this chapter we will discuss changes plants under stress. Recently change response regarded adaptive mechanism protect plant from permanent damage.
