摘要: In tropical regions, protozoan parasites can cause severe diseases with malaria, leishmaniasis, sleeping sickness, and Chagas disease standing in the forefront. Many of drugs currently being used to treat these have been developed more than 50 years ago adverse effects. Above all, resistance existing is widespread has become a serious problem threatening success control measures. order identify new antiprotozoal agents, 600 commercial agrochemicals tested on pathogens causing above mentioned diseases. For all pathogens, compounds were identified similar or even higher activities applied vitro assays. Furthermore, vivo activity was observed for fungicide/oomyceticide azoxystrobin, insecticide hydramethylnon Plasmodium berghei mouse model, oomyceticide zoxamide Trypanosoma brucei rhodesiense STIB900 respectively.
