摘要: This two-year study explores the community structure and temporal dynamics of carabid tenebrionid beetles in five eastern Mediterranean juniper maquis formations relation to successional stage. Based on vegetation cover, density soil pH, stage two sites (Crete, Cyprus) was an earlier state compared with other three (Attiki, Naxos, Samos), as a result intense goat grazing. Diversity indices abundance distributions were using morphoecological surrogates taxa. Temporal regulated more by cumulative species richness than sharp phenological patterns. The higher values niche pre-emption parameter turnover imply better adaptation endemic tenebrionids rapid change environmental conditions, carabids. Significantly lower biomass, evenness for both families Crete Cyprus are ascribed reversed course succession caused overgrazing.
