摘要: Porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) is the etiological agent of post- weaning multi-systemic wasting syndrome (PMWS), an economically important disease swine. Severe and lymphadenopathy are typical signs PMWS. Effective vaccines against PCV2 reliable diagnostic tests available. Since PCV2's discovery in mid-90s introduction commercial vaccines, several new recombinant strains variants with genetic mutations have emerged. Two noteworthy changes include; a major switching event that resulted previously predominant PCV2a genotype being replaced by PCV2b, recent emergence mutant PCV2b capsid protein containing additional lysine. The exhibits increased virulence spreading rapidly various regions world. This article provides overview molecular epidemiology context current methods for detection prevention PCV2, emphasizing need updated vaccines.
