摘要: Macaque monkeys infected with various neurovirulent forms of simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV) represent highly effective models, not only systemic acquired (AIDS), but also neuroAIDS. Behavioral studies this model have clearly established that SIV-infected show both cognitive and motor impairments resembling those been reported in human (HIV)-infected humans. This paper combines data from a number behavioral macaque to obtain an overall estimate the frequency domains. The results were then compared similar HIV-infected Whereas functions are most commonly impaired humans, function is domain monkeys. Electrophysiological macaques revealed deficits motor-, somatosensory-, visual-, auditory-evoked potentials resemble abnormalities HIV infection. Abnormalities motor-evoked among common evoked potential observed. Although differences profiles disease SIV exist, results, nevertheless, provide strong validation for use models translational virology, immunology, pathophysiology, treatment
