摘要: When magnetization is confined to a small volume, such as nanometer-scale iron platelet, forms "magnetic vortex", where the leaves plane. In their Perspective, Miltat and Thiaville highlight report by Wachowiaket al., who have performed sophisticated magnetic imaging experiments measure radius of vortex in an nanoplatelet. At 4 5 nanometers, turns out be smaller than expected. Thiaville raise next challenge for imaging: Bloch point, constructed by combining two structures that continuous everywhere except one point.
