摘要: Age-related changes in the proportions of intracellular or extra-cellular water to total body and ratio fat-free mass are debatable. These important issues both for medical reasons (dehydration is a threat diseased elderly) methodological (most techniques assessing composition assume constant hydration mass). This study compared young elderly (60 years) people. In first part study, we analyzed literature computed over mass, Hf. Eligible studies involved independent measurements water. Hf did not appear change with age. The second this 103 individuals studied our laboratory. mean values were different (73.2 +/- 2.4%) people (73.4 2.4%). At all ages, proportion extracellular (as measured by bromide dilution) oxygen 18 was similar. same finding holds mass. We conclude that cellular affected healthy aging.
