摘要: The emergence of a pan-European public sphere as correlate democratic governance in the EU appears desirable to some, but impossible others. As consequence, research agenda European studies has shifted from Europeanisation and media communication. Different forms degrees “European light” can be identified by observing existing national spheres. In empirical research, however, notion “Europeanisation” remains often very fuzzy contested. new (see also chapter Mau, this volume) therefore frequently follows pragmatic strategy that lacks theoretical grounding methodological coherence. present aims clarify question standards following Johan Olsen's distinction between what, how, why Europeanisation. It examines, firstly, for diagnosing what is changing; secondly, governing how measure communication, thirdly, explaining takes place. Finally, addresses impact Europeanisation, examining whether it promotes qualitatively emerging sphere.
