摘要: India is in the course of an economic transition. The growth nurtured life cities and have become a major livelihood destination for everyone. This migration people contributed to increased urbanization Indian cities. booming economy fostered well-being shaped lifestyle such way that dependency on private vehicle has unavoidable affair. Along with population growth, ownership gave rise overall spurt travel demand. But supply side lagged behind demand adding many transport related externalities as accidents, congestion, pollution, inequity etc. importance sustainability understood current urban scenario leading development promotion sustainable polices. core agenda these polices target behavior change they by creating different environment. However, impacts policies are either unknown or complex. Hence, before adopting implementing policies, it important decision makers be aware them. role models comes here predict future under policy scenarios. paper reviews ability applied analyzing policies. study found conventional model system India, which trip based four step aggregate methodology, inadequate A review alternative approach, known activity modeling capable handling better than assistive arriving at right mix specific situations. Since there no operational developed end envisaged conceptual framework integrated requirements identified from review. can potentially replace existing used planning applications once modification & validation been done according activity-travel individuals.
