摘要: Purpose To describe corneal clearance after re-endothelialization of the recipient posterior stroma through Descemet membrane endothelial transfer (DMET) (ie, a "free-floating" donor graft in anterior chamber descemetorhexis), managing disorders. Design Nonrandomized prospective study at tertiary referral center. Methods Twelve eyes enrolled our study, 7 suffering from Fuchs dystrophy and 5 with bullous keratopathy. The clinical outcome was monitored by biomicroscopy, optical coherence tomography, confocal microscopy, cell density, pachymetry measurements. Results All operated on for showed clearance, values returning to normal (533 ±47 μm). denuded re-endothelialized an average density 797 (± 743) cells/mm 2 6 months surgery. In contrast, none keratopathy any improvement throughout follow-up period. Conclusion DMET may be effective management (primarily disorder), but not depletion). Apparently, indication surgery "dystrophy" vs "depletion" cells) relates capacity cornea clear. This suggests that remaining rim endothelium (after descemetorhexis) is involved DMET.
