摘要: Abstract Background Differences in platelet counts are observed by use of automated haematology analyzers making interlaboratory comparison difficult. Materials and methods Twenty-eight single-donor concentrates (PCs) were collected. Platelet concentration markers destruction investigated during storage for 11/12 days. Results Increasing impedance-immunoplatelet ratio was storage, correlating to fragments, large platelets, density cell-lysis. High variability optical-immunoplatelet ratio. Conclusion Immunoplatelet count or correction factor calculated should be used confirm that unit meets requirements compare results from clinical trials. Optical is not recommended.
