摘要: Elasticity and visco-elasticity are mechanical properties of cells which directly reflect cellular composition, internal structure (cytoskeleton), external interactions (cell-cell and/or cell-surface). A variety techniques involving probing, pulling, or deforming have been used to characterize these properties. With continuing advances in the technology, it may be possible establish phenotypes that can identify at specific points differentiation dedifferentiation with direct applications regenerative medicine, therapeutics, diagnostics.
