Time-variant coherence between heart rate variability and EEG activity in epileptic patients: an advanced coupling analysis between physiological networks

摘要: Time-variant coherence analysis between the heart rate variability (HRV) and channel-related envelopes of adaptively selected EEG components was used as an indicator for occurrence (correlative) couplings central autonomic network (CAN) epileptic before, during after seizures. Two groups patients were investigated, a group with left right hemispheric temporal lobe epilepsy. The individual extracted by signal-adaptive approach, multivariate empirical mode decomposition, each resulting intrinsic function (IMF) computed using Hilbert transform.
