Cross-cultural adaptation of the Brazilian version of the Vocal Fatigue Index - VFI

摘要: The purpose of this study was to perform the cultural adaptation Brazilian version Vocal Fatigue Index (VFI). Two bilingual speech-language pathologists (SLP) translated original VFI in English into Portuguese. translations were reviewed by a committee five voice specialist SLPs resulting final instrument. A third SLP back-translated and same differences from its version. Portuguese VFI, as version, answered on categorical scale 0-4 indicating frequency they experience symptoms: 0=never, 1=almost never, 2=sometimes, 3=almost always, 4=always. For equivalence option "not applicable" added 20 individuals with vocal complaints dysphonia completed index.
