Accurate determination of S in organic matrices using isotope dilution ICP-MS/MS

摘要: Accurate determination of low levels S in organic matrices by means isotope dilution ICP-single quadrupole MS (e.g., for quantification components reverse phase HPLC-ICP-MS experiments) is often not feasible. This work describes an accurate, sensitive and fast analytical method the a recently developed ‘triple quadrupole’ ICP-MS instrument, operated MS/MS mode. The added value approach this application has been clearly visualised varying width bandpass first analyzer from “fully open” (standard mode) down to single mass (MS/MS mode). As proof-of-concept, biodiesel reference material analysed its content with proposed method, using calibration, results obtained were excellent agreement certified (within experimental uncertainty).
